We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Junior Sub-Editor to join our editorial team.

Experience Range:
 1-3 years

As a Jr Sub Editor at The Better India, you will

1. Edit articles, scripts and copies, rewriting when required, while following TBI's editorial guidelines. Proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and style adherence 

2. Ensure accuracy and consistency in content, including facts, statistics, and references. Uphold and enforce the company's style guidelines, maintaining consistency in tone, voice, and formatting.  

3. Collaborate with writers and editors to refine and improve articles, ensuring they are engaging and impactful. 

4. Conduct fact-checking and research to verify information presented in articles.  

5. Assist in headline writing and crafting effective summaries. 

6. Collaborate with designers and layout artists to ensure visual elements align with the written content.  

7. Review and revise articles for SEO optimization and provide recommendations for improvement.  

8. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and evolving editorial standards Mentor and provide guidance to junior sub-editors, and writers, fostering their professional growth 

9. Create systems, processes, style guides, etc. to improve the overall functioning of the editorial team as and when required.  10. Publish articles on WordPress, while managing daily submission and publication deadlines.
